SCHWARZ, MARY LUCILLE STITH Mary Lou Schwarz died February 17, 2018.?? She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Tom; her son, Otto; and her grandson, Jimmie Labonski. She is survived by her loving children,Elsa(Dick) Labonski, Tim Schwarz, Ted(Joyce) Schwarz, Peter(Linda) Schwarz and Liz(Dan) Stump, 12 amazing grandchildren and their spouses, 19 great-grandchildren, and vast numbers of nieces and nephews, to whom she was known by a variety of affectionate names, like Lulu.?? Mary Lou attended The Visitation Academy in St. Louis. Her outgoing personality won her many friends, and she kept in touch with them, even when separated by half a continent. She was a devoted Catholic with a particular affection for Mary, the Mother of Perpetual Help. She loved art, and gardening, growing her own fruits and vegetables. She worked briefly for the Board of Election Supervisors in Broward County, and administered the oath to new voters, "Do you solemnly swear to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States?" It meant a lot to her. During her late 70s, Mary volunteered at the ARC in Broward County, for several years, where she shared her love and support with children who had major disabilities. Even as the ravages of Alzheimer's began to affect her, she continued to radiate warmth and caring to those around her. Viewing Thursday February 22, 2018 from 6PM to 8PM.
