Mary Sliza of Plantation, Florida passed away on Jan. 28, 2021. Mary was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Jan. 7, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Christina (Tuday) Sliza. Mary graduated from the Grover Cleveland High School, New York, N.Y. June 1950 and Hunter College, New York, N.Y. Jan. 1954. Mary was an Elementary School teacher for 35 years. She was a pioneer in computer education at the school she taught at. Mary retired Jan. 30, 1990 and moved to Plantation, Florida April 30, 1990. She then moved to Covenant Living of Florida April 12, 2011 and volunteered at the Helen B. Hoffman Plantation Library and the Plantation Historical Museum to name a couple of places. Mary enjoyed traveling and went to many places here and abroad. Mary is survived by many cousins. A viewing will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 from 10:30 to 11:00 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 at the T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home at 7001 Northwest 4th Street, Plantation, Florida 33317. Burial to follow on a later date at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, NY.
