Maxine Elizabeth Moore

Maxine Elizabeth Moore, Beloved mother of two, grandmother of eight and aunt of four. She was born in Canada and emigrated to Chicago with her brother and parents at the age of seven. After high school she moved to Dearborn, MI at the age of 19 and became a hairdresser. At the age of 30, she went to work as a switchboard operator at Ford’s world headquarters and did some part time modeling for the auto firm. Between her hairdressing and modeling, she was always the epitome of fashion. She continued to work for Ford where she met Bob Moore in 1957, married him in 1960 and they resided in Oak Park, MI raising their son Chris. Both retired in 1977 and spent the next 33 years in Laguna Woods, California. After Bob’s death in March 2012, she moved to Plantation, FL and spent her final five years near her son and his family. She will be buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bristol, Illinois.  Arrangements  by T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home.
