As a young girl, Maya loved singing. Her passion for singing continued throughout her life. She enjoyed being on the worship team. She was an active member in the Calvary Chapel Plantation youth group, volunteering in children’s ministry and local outreach opportunities. She taught herself to play the ukulele, becoming quite proficient. Maya had an artistic talent for applying makeup. She was an avid reader and spent time writing short stories and poems.
Maya leaves behind her loving grandmother, Jan Altieri “Booshie”, her beautiful sisters, Kaya and Tiana, her Uncle Domenick “Uncle D”, Aunt Melissa and Aunt Shana, Great Aunt Cheri, Grandpa Joe, and cousins Nathaniel, Isabella, and Madison.
Although Maya’s life was short, she made a lasting impact and memory for all who knew her. When you think of Maya, remember her smile. It would light up a room. Celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
