Michael Curtis Mattson

Michael Curtis Mattson, 64, of Plantation died Tuesday, September 3^rd, 2019. 

He was born to Trudie and Raymond Mattson on June 23^rd, 1955 in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Michael graduated from South Plantation High School in 1973 and received a Bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College in 1977. He culminated his education with a law degree from the University of Miami in 1980 and practiced as a trial attorney in Fort Lauderdale for 39 years. He met his wife Lisa in high school, they married in 1975 and enjoyed 44 years of marriage together. They had 3 children, Christopher, Kevin and Melissa. 

He was an avid trivia player and reader, he enjoyed playing bridge with his family and never met a crossword puzzle that he couldn’t finish. He was a long time member of Lago Mar Country Club where he spent time golfing and playing gin. 

Michael is survived by his wife Lisa; his 3 children Christopher (Stephanie), Kevin and Melissa (Justin); his 4 grandchildren, Madelyn, Violet, Jacob and Dylan; his mother Trudie and his 5 siblings Skip, Cathy (Jeff), Karen, Suzy and Stephanie (Filip). He was predeceased by his father Raymond and his brother Timothy. 

Services will be held at T.M. Ralph Funeral Plantation Home 7001 NW 4 Street Plantation, FL on Saturday, September 7^th , 2019 followed by the burial at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM.  Graveside Committal will take place at 3:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, FL.
