Nicholas Berardino, known as Nick and Papa, passed away on December 13, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, adventure, humor, and a deep love for his family. He was born on April 13, 1945, in Montgomery, Alabama.
Nick started his career at Eastern Airlines as a mechanic and worked his way up to the role of engine test cell technician. Then he became an established real estate broker based in Pembroke Pines, Florida. His talent for negotiating, customer service, and his extensive knowledge of the housing market, enabled him to have an incredible career that spanned for many years. Nick's expertise and dedication to his clients earned him a reputation as one of the most respected professionals in the industry. His slogan "Call Nick and Start Packing" became an example for trustworthiness and reliability in business.
Beyond his successful career, Nick enjoyed various hobbies and interests which include traveling, cars, food, and playing tennis. The highlight of his day was his early morning 5-mile walk around the lake. Animals also held a special place in his heart, particularly birds and dogs. Their loyal companionship and personality brought him immense happiness throughout his lifetime. Another pastime Nick enjoyed was bike riding. Often times he would go for rides that allowed him to take new adventures and connect with nature.
Nick is survived by his family and loving girlfriend Delores Cheney. Family members: brother, Joseph Berardino; daughter, Debra Berardino; son, Nick (Ann) Berardino; daughter, Cherie Berardino (Jeff) Cason; daughter, Tonya Berardino (Jarrod) Wolf; grandchildren Amber, Talia, Nicholas, Vincent, Skylar, Jeffrey, Gavin, and Gabriella as well as great-grandchildren Troy, Delilah, and Ava. In addition to his children, he is also remembered by Shelby Berardino, the mother of his children, and is reunited with his beloved grandson Joseph Nicholas Berardino. May they find strength in each other during this difficult time.
Nick will forever be remembered for his personality, jokes, and stories which will carry on and continue to be a staple for all family and holiday gatherings.
A celebration of life will be held after the holidays. In honor of Nick, enjoy a lobster dinner or make a donation to the humane society.
