Olga Hoyos, born on July 18, 1926, in Colombia, passed away peacefully at her home on September 20, 2024, at the age of 98. A beloved matriarch, Olga's life was a testament to strength, resilience, and the boundless love she held for her family.

Oftentimes described as strong, driven, and self-sufficient, Olga was a true warrior who always sought the best for her loved ones. Her passion for literature was evident; she read every book she could get her hands on, fostering a love of learning that inspired those around her. Olga’s interests were diverse; she played basketball in school, enjoyed gardening, and expressed her creativity through paintings.

Throughout her life, she cherished the journeys she took with her family, sharing with them the places she had longed to visit. Her proudest accomplishment was, without a doubt, her family, which she nurtured with unwavering dedication. Olga is survived by her loving children, Gladys, Mario, Ancizar, Gerardo, Ramiro, and Lorena, along with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of love and strength.

Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Gerardo. The bond they shared was profound and everlasting, leaving an indelible mark on their family.
