Petey Moses

Petey Moses passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, in Weston, Florida, at the age of 80. Born on May 1, 1944, in Turnersville, New Jersey, she moved to Fort Lauderdale with her parents, James and Elizabeth Bailey in 1949. Graduating from Central Catholic High School in 1962, now St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Petey devoted much of her life to serving others, beginning her career in the airline industry in 1964. Throughout her years of service, she carried passengers with grace and warmth aboard National Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Continental Airlines, and ultimately retired in 2008 from United Airlines, leaving a lasting impression on many.

Petey's legacy extends beyond her professional accomplishments. In 2013, she was honored as the Grandmother of the Year at Saint Gregory Catholic Schools, reflecting her nurturing spirit and commitment to her family and community. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love and support inspired all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Petey was pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years, William Esper Moses. She is survived by her loving son, Michael Moses, and his wife Nermine, along with her grandchildren, Alexander and Angelina Moses from Monroe, NJ. Petey is also survived by her daughter, Kari Moses Tarnowski, her son-in-law, Gus Tarnowski, and her grandsons, Nicholas and Jack Tarnowski, of Plantation, FL.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Petey's life during visitation at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass in her honor will be held at Saint Gregory Catholic Church on March 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens later that same day at 12:30 PM.

Petey Moses will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
