Frances Fortney, 91, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away September 25, 2018. She was born in Pennsylvania, married George Daniel, and together with their family, relocated to Fort Lauderdale in 1958. George and Frances started “Fortney Appliances” in 1959, and continues to be a family run business in Fort Lauderdale. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, George Daniel Fortney; four sons, David (Lyla) Fortney, Robert (Luanne) Fortney, Brad Fortney, and Barry (Rosie) Fortney; one daughter, Tammy (Roy) Kunz; seven grandchildren, David (Allyson) Fortney, Jr., Christopher Fortney, Nick Fortney, Shannon (Jared) Joubert, Katherine (David) Low, Christina Fortney, and Philip Fortney; and six great grandchildren, Sam Fortney, Chelsea Fortney, Jules Fortney, Layla Joubert, Peyton Joubert, and Griffin Low. Visitation will be Monday, 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin, 11:00 AM at the funeral home with interment immediately following at Lauderdale Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to T. M.
