Radhica Dick

Radhica Devi Rickhi was born to Ruth Bhyrodin and Ramnarine Rickhi on May 8, 1938.  She was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and wife. She was also an aunt to many. She was born in the town of Montrose, Chaguanas Central Trinidad. She graduated from Nursing school in 1963 and also successfully completed midwifery training.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for a total of 50 years in Trinidad, New York and Florida combined.  She was married to Olympic Weight Lifting Champion, Carl DeSouza and they have two lovely children, Ann Marie (Rosita) and Delores (Dee).  She later married the love of her life, Clement Dick in 1982 and they were married for a total of 33 years until his passing in 2015. During those years of marriage, Radhica joyfully cooked, entertained and housed many people in her home.  If you were a guest in her home, food was offered as her standard practice, and often, with a doggie bag to go.  Her knowledge and love for Jesus grew 5 years ago and she was baptized at the young age of 75.  Radhica has 3 grandchildren, Devina (37), Miles (17) and Jackson (10) and one great-grandchild, Phoenix (16).  Radhica was known for her gentle demeanor, warm smile, generous spirit and her genuine love for people.  She was known for meeting the needs of many whom she encountered.  She was a quiet giver and never one to bring attention to herself. Because of her selfless nature, she has touched the lives of so many people, from her neighbors, her church family, colleagues and even strangers.  She will be truly missed.
