Raynold Cabral, a beloved member of the New Bedford, MA community, passed away on February 1, 2024, in Sunrise, FL. He was born on January 5, 1936, in New Bedford, MA. Raynold was a prominent figure in the hair styling industry and had a long and successful career as the owner of his own salon called "Raynold's" located in downtown New Bedford.

Raynold was  dedication to his family and loved ones. He always put family first and took great pride in their achievements. Special memories will always remembered, Vacations at Westwind Cottages, NH, with family, Ski trips in NH, and summers on Watuppa Pond.  The family loved camping! Those were the days a family could all hop in the back of a pickup truck and he would take all the kids for ice cream.  

Raynold continued to lead an active life after retirement, living in FL and spending many Fall months for years in Indiana.  He loved the land there. He was blessed to have 4 grands in FL he could spend time with often.  He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and found joy in sharing memorable moments with them. Additionally, he had a passion for self-improvement and remained an avid reader throughout his life.

From a young age, Raynold had a deep passion for his profession. He dedicated his life to meeting the needs of his customers and making them feel their best. His salon became renowned for its excellent service and personalized care. In the 1970s, Raynold made history by becoming one of the first stylists to introduce Redken products into his salon. His innovative approach led him to become one of the top leaders in Redken Education and Teachers across the country.

Known for his outgoing personality and enthusiasm, Raynold was truly a remarkable individual. Whether it was leading discussions or simply being there for those around him, he possessed a natural ability to inspire others. Furthermore, Raynold served in the National Guard with honor and pride.

Outside of work and family life, Raynold had several hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He embraced his Portuguese heritage by cooking traditional dishes with love and skill. Additionally, he took pleasure in watching Emeril Lagasse's captivating cooking shows.

Raynold leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He was predeceased by his father, Manuel Cabral, and his mother, Germaine Cabral. He is survived by his loving daughter Cheryl Carroll of Davie, FL; Tim Gibson and Pamela Bowen Gibson, daughter and son-in-law of West Point, IN; and Raynold Cabral II, his son from Delray Beach, FL. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Cody Carroll, Dillon Carroll, FL, Genin Bowen, Alec Bowen, IN and Christopher Cortes, and Anaris Cortes, Delray Beach. 

Raynold Cabral will forever be remembered for his outstanding contributions to the hair styling industry and the impact he made on the lives of those he encountered. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2, 2024, 10:00AM at All Saints Catholic Church Sunrise, Florida
