On February 3, 2021 Renee Leigh Ellis-McHugh, 44, was taken from this world so very unexpectedly. She leaves behind a husband, Thomas J. McHugh IV, a son Trystan (13), a daughter Zoey (8), her parents Walker and Marsha Ellis, her Brothers and Sisters-in-law, W. Reed Ellis and his wife Tracy, Ryan Ellis and his wife Summer and Rob Ellis and his wife Amy. Renee was adored by her Nephews Grant, Kyle, Marshall and Donovan along with her nieces Emily, Maddison, Morganne, Shelbyanne, and Marilyn. Renee was born in Fort Lauderdale and was a Plantation girl most of her life. A graduate of Plantation High in 1995 and a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale. She earned a Culinary Associate of Science from LeCordon Bleu in 2006! In 2017 she began her career as an agent at New York Life, alongside her brother Reed. Renee was a princess, a fighter, a servant and big time advocate for everything Trystan and Zoey ever wanted, she loved her man Thomas McHugh. Renee brought joy in her smile and even in the tone of her voice! She loved more than anyone you know. The thing we will all miss the most is being told how much we are loved by Renee. I know her life was filled with songs of joy, promise and beauty from this world. She took those songs and experiences and it overflowed into so many people; from family, to friends, clients and even people she just met! She was the definition of servant but she never did it begrudgingly, it was always with incredible joy. Long live her beauty that comes down and through and onto all of us as we remember our sweet Renee. We love you too Nay!!
