Richard Edwin Robinson

Richard Edwin Robinson, 68, beloved father and grandfather, passed away on December 26, 2017. The eldest of 6 children, Rich was born in Greenville, SC on July 3, 1949 to John H. and Norma Robinson. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While attending MIT, he met and married Cynthia Lepkowski. In 1978, after several years at Digital Equipment Corporation, Rich escaped the cold by moving the family to Florida. Rich had a successful career as a software engineer in new product development, working for several companies including Systems Engineering Laboratories, Gould, Computer Products, Racal-Datacom, Casi-Rusco, Secure Computing, Motorola, Avocent, Intellon, and Florida Atlantic University. Rich is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cynthia; daughters Elysa (Thomas) Meena and Cheryl (Michael) Collins; grandchildren Jessica, Gabrielle, and Emily Meena; brothers Walter, Thomas, David, and Benjamin; and sister Anne.
