ROBBIE L FARMER, 94, Born to Arthur and Era Day in Esto Florida on January 7th, 1924 entered The Lord’s Kingdom on November 16th. 2018. Loving and devoted wife of 55 years to Jasper Clyde Farmer. Mother of two, Grandmother to five, and Great-Grandmother to five. Longtime resident of Plantation, Florida since 1963. Robbie’s passions in life were her immaculate yard and her love for her church, Plantation Community Church. Look out if there was a blade of grass or a tree limb out of place in her yard. She would “Stalk” any hanging palm frond until it fell from the tree, dissect it using a hacksaw, and prepare it for trash pickup. She volunteered at church folding new letters and enjoyed attending the “Forever Young Social Activities” and fellowship with her church family. Her devotion and love for her grandchildren was immeasurable. Anytime Mike or Phyllis needed help with the care of their children, the response was always “bring them on over”. Matt, Courtney, Clayton, Craig and Shelley have fond memories of fresh squeezed orange juice from the orange trees in the backyard, and sneaking Juicy Fruit Gum from Nana’s stash. Not to mention the ice cream bars and fudgesicles in the freezer. Robbie’s talents and hobbies really ran parallel to each other. She was exceptional working with numbers as evident by the jobs she held over the years. She was a bookkeeper for several auto dealerships, often handling both accounts payable and receivable. She also sold real estate and later assisted in setting up the bookkeeping for the family business. Nothing less than perfection was acceptable. Those ledgers had to balance to the penny and she worked at it until they did. In her idle time she loved to work on word or number puzzles…and she was darn good at it. An early morning riser, she listened for the sound of the newspaper landing on her front sidewalk. Of course she went straight to the front page….not to read the latest headline but to see which section contained the word jumble for the day and check her answers from the previous day’s puzzle. Robbie was preceded in death by her husband Jasper Clyde Farmer and her ten siblings. Survived by her son Michael Farmer (Susan), daughter Phyllis Rudolph (Tony); Grandchildren Matthew Farmer (Michelle), Courtney Calfee (Shane), Clayton Farmer, Craig Rudolph (Melissa) and Shelley Rudolph; Great Grandchildren Trey Farmer, Kate Farmer, Will Calfee, Kai Calfee, and Wyatt Rudolph.
