A Gift To Never Forget
How to describe the man I call father, A heart of gold, full of love, the greatest man I know calls me daughter.
An unforgettable character, once you meet him, he is a man you can never forget. How can I ever describe this man with mere words, they can never bare his weight, they can never fit.
He was a country boy, a true Alabamian, self-made, hard working yet a family man to his very core, with eyes as blue as the sky, so full of life and to me they were my hearts door.
Not only my father but my best friend, he was my umbrella when life decided to rain, when the world brought me sickness, harm, he was my band aid wanting to take away all my pain.
He lived his life to the fullest and got to pass doing what he loved the most. Even right now I can feel him next to me, whispering in my ear and holding me very close.
He is telling me to smile for he is now in heaven, yet he is waiting at the gates… Baby girl don’t you worry about dad for I am okay. In one hand I have an ice-cold beer and in the other is cooking some steaks.
Don’t cry angel, don’t let a single teardrop run from your eye for I lived a great life and don’t have any regrets. Dear friends and family I’m watching you all and ask one last favor, take care of each other, and know that I am always with you… I’m your shadow with every step.
