Robert Edward Ruthemeyer (Bob), 81, of Plantation, Florida, passed away on Thursday, May 31, after a short battle with leukemia. Bob was born in Cincinnati, OH, on August 8, 1936 to Helen (Scheuman) and Robert C. Ruthemeyer. He was a graduate of Western Hills High School in 1954 and served six years in the United States Air Force before graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Jacksonville University. Upon graduation, Bob embarked on a successful career in accounting and worked for Westinghouse for nearly 20 years and The Club at Emerald Hills before retiring in 2012. He remained an avid golfer, wine and baseball enthusiast and enjoyed photography, traveling with his wife and doting on his grandchildren and dogs. Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia, children Michael (Tracy) and Kathryn (Luis) Navarro and grandchildren Nicholas and Olivia. Friends will be received from 1:00 Pm until the time of the service. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the TM Ralph Funeral Home at 7001 NW 4th Street in Plantation, Florida. The family will continue to receive friends after the conclusion of the service.
