Robert E. Stewart, “A Plantation Citizen” for twenty three years, passed away, November 26th, 2019, at Kindred Hospital in Fort Lauderdale.
Robert’s special interest during the past ten years has been The Plantation Historical Museum and The Plantation Helen B. Hoffman Library where he enjoyed being a member and volunteering. Most recently he served as President of The Plantation Historical Society.
As a young man, he was in the Navy, mostly in Japan. Upon his return to the States, he started his career in the Fire Sprinkler Industry in the Carolinas and continued in South Florida when he moved his family in 1981.
He is survived by his Sister, Beverly Baker, wife, Wanda, sons, Marc (Germaine), Laurence (Alison), granddaughters, Amanda and Caraline (Jon) and grandsons, Bezabh and Eli and great grandaughters Grace, Charlie and Skyler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Stewart and Hattie Stewart, and his brother, William Howard Stewart.
Robert loved his family, work, many friends, dogs (Chewey and Rocky), Mr. Wizard, the bearded dragon and Books.
