Romel Antoinette Robinson Lalloo was born on August 12th, 1939 and was called home on Friday, November 23rd, 2018 at her home. She was one of two children (brother Desmond Robinson deceased) born to Adina Picart Robinson and Herman Robinson. Romel met George Lalloo, a well-known cricketer and they soon settled in Kingston, Jamaica where they started a family. In April of 1969, the entire family migrated to Bronx, NY where they resided for well over twenty years. In the summer of 1984, Romel resettled in Plantation, FL and eventually established a long career employed at Broward County Housing Authority as a housing counselor. Through the years, Romel was a dedicated mother, who was the “glue” that held her family together. She enjoyed playing card games and was a competitive bowler. She loved to dance and had an adventurous spirit. She was known to plan last minute trips with her children. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Romel had a strong sense of loyalty and dedication. She enjoyed her grandchildren. Romel is survived by: Children Andre Lalloo (spouse Lynn Lalloo), Christopher Lalloo, Bridgette Lalloo, Debra Lalloo, Joyce Chin-Harrison. Grandchildren Calvin McCain Lalloo, Khalil Lalloo, Caitlin Lalloo, Terese Alicea, Jeanette Alicea, Brittany Alicea, Desiree McClendon, Monique McClendon, Christopher McClendon, Joel McClendon, Jahnay McClendon, Stefon Ali, Daniel, Christa and Ashley Harrison. Great grandchildren Tristan Rosario, Carlos Rosario, Kyrie Ansah, Keaura Ansah, Jonah Carroll, Kahlil Washington Visitation will be held Thursdat, 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM at T. M.
