Rose Margaret Downing, 103, of Plantation, died April 17, at St. Johns Rehabilitation Center. She would be celebrating her 78th anniversary with Allen Downing, who is deceased. Rose is survived by a lucky family. Daughter Therese Cox (David Cox, Kacee Picot); son Allen Downing {Brenda Downing} (Jeremy Downing {Leanne}, great grandchildren, Savannah Rose, Eliza Claire, (Jennifer Olsson {Jimmy Olsson}, great grandchildren, Elsa Rebecca, Max Gabriel; daughter Mary Van Landingham (Kris Van Landingham); son Richard Downing (Eileen Downing). Rose grew up in Jamestown, N.Y. In a holy Irish Catholic household of eight children. The love of God was a part of the home. She worked most of her life in child education. The family moved to Florida in 1961. Rose was one of the original employees for the Nova School system and worked until she was 77. She was the center of so many lives and leaves us all a legacy of good feelings toward everyone, infectious happiness and the enjoyment of every day on earth. Heaven just became a better place so reserve your cloud ASAP. Visitation will be held on Friday April 21st 6-8pm at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, 7001 N.W. 4th St., Plantation, FL. Holy Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 22nd at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 200 N. University Drive at 9am. Burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 SR 7, North Lauderdale.
