Sara (Sally) J. Bennett Lloyd, 93, of Plantation, FL (formally of Miami Springs, FL) Peacefully passed away September 8, 2021. She was born in Sharon, Pa on May 12, 1928. She spent her early years in the Kew Gardens section of New York City, graduating from Forest Hills High School in 1946. She and her family moved to Miami Springs FL in 1964 She was active in the John MacDonald chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution and was a member of Poinciana United Methodist Church and later Plantation United Methodist Church. Genealogy was her passion and she loved all animals. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Edwin S. Lloyd and her sister, Mary Louise Koller. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Lloyd of Miami Springs, FL and Elisabeth Longo of Plantation, FL. She was most proud of her grandsons, Mason and Myles Longo. She was loved dearly by her nieces, Mary Ellen Cox of Spring TX, Carol Clark of Dillon, CO, their families, and also a great nephew Jeff Muscarella of Atlanta, GA. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend .She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her family and her childhood friend, Mavis Ebel of Sarasota, FL. A Memorial Service will be held October 16, 2021 at 11am in the chapel at Covenant Living of Florida, 9215 West Broward Blvd, Plantation FL. 33324. A burial service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon, Pa in the summer of 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Pet Rescue Inc (Donations@communitypetrescue.org.) or Plantation United Methodist Church.
