Sandra Sue (Ducham) Heine, 67, of Sunrise, FL. passed away on January 4th, 2022. She was born April 20, 1954 in Midland, MI to the late Joseph and Gloria (Ridley) Ducham. Sandra attended Midland High School, graduating in 1972. While attending Delta College she met her husband Brad Heine and they married October 25, 1975.
Sandy worked as a secretary for a short period of time at Dow Corning Co. until she left to be a full time mother. In 1987, when Nick was 9 and Kim was 7 years old, Brad and Sandy decided to leave the cold weather behind and head to sunny South Florida. Sandy continued her dream to be a stay at home mom, so she could be involved in all her children’s activities. These activities included, multiple years as room mom, chaperoning all field trips, helping kids with all school projects and full time taxi driver for all the children’s sporting activities and events. Some of Sandy’s favorite activities included reading, crossword puzzles, relaxing in the sun by her pool, attending numerous sporting events that include: Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, Nascar and any Michigan Football games that they could get to, including the 2004 Rose Bowl. But her most favorite activity of all was spending time with her four grandchildren.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband Brad; children, Nicholas Sr. (Kristen) Heine of Plantation Fl., Kimberly (Jody) Kogon of Coral Springs, Fl., grandchildren, Nicholas Jr, Kylie and Ashley Heine, and Lylah Kogon; her sister Ann Dobbs (Jim Curley) of Seminole, FL. and brother Joseph (Rebecca) Ducham of Cass City, Mi. In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her brother in law Eugene Dobbs and sister-in law Janie Heine, and great niece Haley Apple.
Sandy’s family will receive friends at TM Ralph Funeral Home (Plantation), 7001 NW 4th Street, Plantation, FL 33317. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 11th from 5-8pm. There will be a graveside burial on Wednesday January 12th at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery, 2001 SW 4th Avenue, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33315 at 12:30pm. Following the interment, there will be a Celebration of Life at 4pm, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 8001 NW 5th Street Plantation, FL 33324
