Selwyn Mohammed

Selwyn Mohammed was born on October 3, 1938 to Alexandrine Mohammed and Shaffice Mohammed in Curepe, Trinidad. As a young man he loved to play cricket, listen to steel pan music and be with his family as we had 7 siblings. In his early years he worked in BWIA Piarco International Airport for 19 years before coming to the US. When he wasn't hard at work, he loved watching horse racing, listening to pan, eating his favorite foods and making everyone laugh.

On January 29, 1959 Selwyn married Angela Mayo at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Saint Joseph, Trinidad. Where they became the Mohammed’s for the next 61 years. Shortly after marriage on December 14, 1959 he became a father to Rosita, his first daughter. They went on to grow their family together and had Francis, Andrew and Natalie. He was loved by his children very much and that continued throughout his life with his 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home, 7001 NW 4th St, Plantation FL 33317 on Monday March 22nd, from 11:15 AM - 12:30 PM, with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:30 PM. Interment immediately following in Lauderdale Memorial Park.
