Our dear brother and friend Sergio Rondon passed unexpectedly June 20th. He had just turned 71 this past March. 

Born in 1953, son of Luisa and Sergio Rondon, and brother to Peter, of Caracas Venezuela. His mother Luisa, his father Sergio and his brother Pete, all passed before him. Sergio spent his youth in his home town of Caracas until finishing high school. After graduation, Sergio came to the United States to begin Collège at Louisiana State University, graduating with a degree in Landscape Architecture. 

Moving from Louisiana to Ft Lauderdale, Florida, he began his Landscape Architecture career working for the City of Boca Raton followed by the Engineering and Architectural Firm, Kimley Horn of Vero Beach. Arriving back to Ft Lauderdale, his career pivoted to JM Family Enterprises, a division of South East Toyota headed by former owner, business man and philanthropist, Jim Moran. Following JM, Sergio's career pivoted once again to the City of Atlanta - Fulton County, working for their Division of Emergency Management, 

Upon retirement, Sergio moved back to Plantation, Florida where he remained until his passing. 

Sergio is survived by cousin Manuel Rondon of Washington State, Cristina Benedetti of Canada, and family members of the Rondon and Benedetti family in Caracas, as well as his Banker-Carper family in Plantation, Florida. 

Sergio is also survived by his many cherished life long friends from his youth in Caracas, college days at LSU, work colleagues, and friends of friends of friends of friends, all whom he remained in close contact with until the days prior to his passing. His generous heart, loving spirit , broad smile and infectious laughter has left a hole in our hearts that will now only be filled with our beautiful memories.

Place: TM Ralph Funeral Home 7001 NW 4 Street Plantation Florida 33317.

Time: 1-3 PM 

From 1-2 PM there will be a Friends and Family gathering and a video celebration of life presentation,

The memorial service will begin at 2 PM.
