Shirley Eva Miller

Shirley E Miller                                                                   Shirley was born on May 1st 1936 in the small town of Neelyville,  Missouri. She was raised by her Parents, Marvell and Delmer Crossen, on a farm, along with

5 siblings. She loved her family but said the farm work was hard and so when she graduated high school she went to secretarial school and got an Associate’s degree in business. Shirley worked at various secretarial offices in California, where she met her husband, David Miller. (Deceased) They were married within a few months. David served in the Navy and when he was discharged they moved to Poplar Bluff Missouri with their two daughters, Vickie Miller and Linda Miller. (Deceased) Her number one priority in life was caring for her small, beloved family.

Shirley got a job with the city of Poplar Bluff. She was a diligent worker and over the years advanced to office manager and then Supervisor. She was well loved by her work associates and retired after 40 years of employment.

The last 15 years of her life were spent living in Florida with her oldest daughter, Vickie. They enjoyed many adventures together, such as long walks in beautiful parks with their dogs, road trips, tropical garden events, local craft shows and fairs and many picnics and BBQ’s.
