Shirley Jean Wooten

December 28, 1935 — May 25, 2018

Shirley  Jean WootenDecember 28, 1935 - May 25, 2018Shirley Jean Wooten went to heaven on May 25, 2018. Shirley was a faithful and committed Christian, followed the Lord Jesus Christ, and was a messenger of his word. She once memorized the entire book of Ephesians. She changed lives, and set the standard on how to treat others. Being a joyful, humble, empathetic, and selfless human being, she touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with as she was engaged in her community. She lived life deep in the spirit of the Lord, a scripture on her tongue, a song in her heart, and would worship and sing songs of praise, often in the darkest of times. She had an infectious smile, was a proud American and military Air Force wife of TSgt Joseph L Wooten Sr (deceased), mother, grandmother and was committed to husband, children and family. She never missed an opportunity to show love and gratitude. Survived by her daughter Jeanne Claesson, son Joseph Wooten, daughter Cheryle Walters, son Frank Wooten, son Vincent Wooten,  partner and soul mate Peter Schubert. She was their rock and inspiration and will be greatly missed. A Private Family Memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested  to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate Arrangments by T.M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home 954 587-6888
