Sonia J. Bickham

Sonia Bickham, 83, of Plantation, Florida passed away on January 11, 2025. Sonia was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended high school in New Jersey and was valedictorian. When she lived in Rochester, New York, she worked as a secretary, was active in church, was a loving mother of two, and a den mother. After moving to Florida, Sonia worked as a pre-insert coordinator for the Miami Herald, and she had a long career in education; working for Barry University, setting up continuing education workshops, and finally at Florida Atlantic University working in the Department of Testing and Evaluation.

She loved animals, cats especially, and helped many cats in need.

Sonia was preceded in death by her husband William, and her son. She is survived by her son David.
