On Thursday, December 21, 2017, Stanley F. Wilson, Sr., 54, of Sunrise, Florida, peacefully transitioned to Paradise while in his sleep at home surrounded by his wife and close members of his church family. He was born on August 3, 1963 to Frank Kenneth Wilson and Bessie Evans Wilson in Washington, DC. Stanley was an extremely kind, loving, and peaceful man who genuinely cared about people as a natural overflow of his love for Jesus Christ; Lord and Savior of his life. On October 18, 1997 he married the love of his life, Ruth Frances Smith in Arlington, VA. Stanley enjoyed football, baseball, golfing, playing drums, and making a difference in the classroom. He was also fond of reading books, cleaning carpet and spending quality time with his church family at Grace Bible Church Plantation. Above all, he loved sharing the goodness of Jesus Christ with others. Left behind to cherish is memory include, his wife Ruth; his son, Stanley Frank Wilson Jr., of Sunrise, Florida; his parents, Frank Kenneth & Bessie Evans Wilson, of Arlington, VA; his oldest brother, Ellis Thornton (Rose) of Boston, Massachusetts; his youngest brother, Kenneth Evan Wilson of Arlington, VA; an only sister, Lori Anjanette Wilkerson (Edward) of Hyattsville, MD, as well as three uncles; Marvin Wilson (Rejean), Roy Evans (Jean), and Carnell Evans, all of Oxford, NC; two aunts, Shirley Fields of Oxford, NC and Eloise Ward of New York, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; the late Elmo and Mary Frances Wilson, and John Henry and Bessie Pettiford Evans all of Oxford, NC, and mother-in-law, Evelyn Smith, of Ft. Washington, MD. A time of celebration will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Grace Bible Church Plantation, 901 NW 112th Ave, Plantation, FL 33325.
