Terrance "Terry" E. Pouch, 73, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020.
Terry was born the third of four children on September 21, 1946, in Hammond, Indiana. He moved to Crown Point, Indiana, where he would eventually meet his 16-year-old sweetheart, Cheryl Pounds.
A true patriot, he faithfully and honorably served in the United States Navy from 1967-1969. Leaving to serve was made a little easier knowing Cheryl was going to be his wife, as they were married on July 23, 1966.
After Terry's service to our country, he returned home to begin a wonderful life with his wife Cheryl. They returned to Crown Point, Indiana, began his career as a police officer, and they started a family with the birth of their two beloved daughters, Terri Ann Pouch and Jodi Lynn Pouch.
Sun and beaches were in his sights. In 1971, the family relocated Tamarac, Florida, where they resided for the next 25 years. With an accomplished career in law enforcement, Terry retired from the Plantation Police Department in 1996.
In 2000, the "empty-nesters" moved to their dream home in Coconut Creek, to be closer to friends and family until his passing.
Terry is survived by his beautiful wife Cheryl Ann Pouch; two daughters, Terri Ann and her husband, William Paulson, of Plantation, Florida, and Jodi Lynn and her husband, Jason Massaro, of Grand Island; four grandchildren, William "Billy" Paulson, Joshua "Josh" Paulson, Nikolas "Nik" Massaro, and Zakary "Zak" Massaro; brother, William "Butch" Pouch; nephew, William and his wife, Julie Pouch; grandnephews, William "Billy" Pouch, and Michael and his wife, Tracie Pouch, of Crown Point, Indiana; brother-in-law, Dwight Pounds, of Hollywood, Florida.
Terry is preceded in death by his sisters, Deborah Bushore, and Sandy Santini.
A private family gathering in TM Ralph Funeral Home will be held.
In his loving memory, donations may be made in his name to " St. Jude Children's Research Hospital".
