Reverend Mr. Thomas John Malinoski passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in Weston, Florida. He was born November 2, 1934 to Charles and Bertha Malinowski, in Atlas, Pennsylvania. On November 10, 1956, he married Octavia Casaccio in Philadelphia, PA. Tom enjoyed spending time near the water, learning about history and science, and dedicating time for service to the church. Tom was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in 2002 and has served in Saint Bonaventure Parish since moving to Florida in 2005. He was very active in the “Respect Life” Ministries.
Tom attended Villanova University for both undergraduate and graduate school, studying in the field of Chemical Engineering. He enjoyed a long career with both Rohm and Haas Chemical and Exxon Chemical companies.
Survivors include his wife Octavia; his two sons, and two daughters, Tom Malinoski of Weston, Leslie (Gregg) Cook of Weston, Linda (Yasushi) Kato of Weston, and Robert (Angela) Malinoski of Houston; eight grandchildren, Thomas, Richard, Phillippe, Morgan, Dominick, Alexandra, Dylan, and Christopher; two sisters, Agatha (Leonard) Malinowski of State College, PA, and Lillian Brecher of Mineola, NY; nieces and nephews, Paul, Daniel, Mark, Joseph and Lila, and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Pienkowski, and Pearl Motta; and is nephew, David Malinowski.
Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM at Saint Bonaventure Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bonaventure Catholic Church or the Respect Life Ministries.
