Veneta Elizabeth Warren

Veneta Elizabeth Warren (née Dornish), 83, of Plantation, FL died on February 15, 2020. Veneta (Nina) was born to Ottomar Dornish and Verna Dornish (née Rieder) in St. Mary’s, PA, on April 26, 1936. Following a difficult first marriage, Nina moved to South Florida with her parents and her two daughters, Kathleen (Kathy) Ann and Christine (Tia) Lynn. On April 19, 1958 she married Richard Earle Warren and he later adopted Kathy and Tia. The Warren’s also had a son, Randall Richard. Throughout her life, Nina enjoyed family card games, bowling, and sharing stories over coffee. The family often went on camping trips. Nina was a member of Central Christian Church in Ft. Lauderdale and, later, The Worship Center of Plantation, FL, where she attended Bible study and participated in volunteer activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard, and her daughter Kathy. She is survived by her sister Winifred (& Walter) Spenser, her daughter Christine (& Howard) Walsh, and her son, The Rev. Dr. Randall R. Warren. She is also survived by her granddaughters Elizabeth (& Daniel) Shefferman, and Linda Chase, and grandsons Jeffrey Walsh, and Christopher Chase, as well as great grandchildren Shelby Shefferman, Ryder Shefferman, and Trayvon Chase.   The family will receive friends Wednesday, 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon, with Funeral service at 12:00 Noon.
