Virginia Lawson (Bower) Machulak of Plantation, FL passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 with her daughters by her side. She was 1 month shy of her 101st birthday.
Virginia was born in Radford, VA on June 1, 1922 to Fredrica (Ted) Kidd Lawson and Raye O. Lawson. She attended Radford College and Lewis-Gale Hospital where she received her Registered Nurse degree.
Virginia met her husband, Robert (Bob) Bower in Charleston, WV and they had four daughters. Following his untimely death, she relocated with her 4 young daughters to Plantation, FL. There she met and married Stan Machulak. Virginia loved dancing and cruising but her greatest love was her family.
She is survived by her daughters Robin (Gregg) Huddlestone, Lynn (Mike) Diamond, Cynthia (Gary) Bobrick and Tina (Keith Pamfilie) Mulligan as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, May 20th at 11:00am at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 8001 NW 5th St., Plantation. Interment will be at Forest Lawn South Cemetery in Davie. A reception will follow at the Clubhouse in El Dorado Estates, Plantation.
