Walter L. Bioni

Walter L. Bioni, 85, of Plantation, FL, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023. 

He was born February 28, 1937 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late Walton and Virginia Bioni.

Walter was taught early the respected and invaluable trade of carpentry.  Throughout his career, he was a part of building, maintaining, designing, various structures in the construction industry.  Walter belonged to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 1394.

Nature called to Walter, and in his leisure time, he would be on a boat fishing, or camping, and you could always count on him to play cards with you.  Walter’s true passion was being with his family.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be deeply missed and saddens our hearts. 

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Donna Kay (nee Sopko) Bioni; two sons, Dominic Bioni and his wife Penny and their daughter, Piper of Wellington, FL, and Eugene Bioni of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two grandchildren, Tony Bioni of Plantation, FL, and Jennifer and her husband Brien Hast of McMurray, Pennsylvania; two great-grandchildren, Brody and Caden Hast of McMurray, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Hazel and Frank Zupancic of Maryland, Beverly of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and Janice and Andy Hostoveick of Finleyville, Pennsylvania. 

Walter’s son, Steven Bioni, and brother, Clarence Bioni, preceded him in death.

Services will be private.
