Walter "Wally" Clement Jones

Walter Clement Jones, 89, of Plantation, Florida passed away Friday, February 14, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Nora; children Denise Del Forn, Diane Marquardt, Argie Gregorio, Raymond Gregorio, and Julius Gregorio; sons-in-law Roland Del Forn and Vince Marquardt; daughters-in-law Raquel Gregorio, Kim Gregorio, and Kate Gregorio; grandchildren Greg Bogdanchik and wife Ariel, Tim Bogdanchik and wife Lisa, Theresa Gutierrez and husband Marc, Elizabeth Del Forn, Daniel, Nathan, and Ariel Gregorio, Lana and Aiden Gregorio; 6 great-grandchildren (Gavin, Greysn, Ethan, Lola, Madelyn and Liliana), brother Alfred Jones of Canada, sister-in-law Elizabeth Jones of England, and many much-loved nieces and nephews. Walter (“Wally”) was preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores; his siblings Rita Atkins, Marion Sands, Ann McLoughlin, and James Jones, of England. Born and raised in Bebington, England, Walter moved to Florida in the 1950’s. He was a master plasterer and craftsman for over 50 years and he left his enviable creative mark across the South Florida landscape at countless homes and landmarks such as Fisher Island, Fontainebleau, Doral, and Deauville hotels, to name a few.  His tireless passion for perfection was reflected at his job as well as in the beautiful and treasured gifts he created for his family. From home remodeling projects to handcrafted wooden toys, no detail was overlooked. The things he built always made you smile. A devout Catholic and family man, Walter was full of love and compassion for others.  He was a constant reminder of strength and hope in our faith.  He could light up a room with his infectious smile and laugh. He was also not one to pass up an opportunity to sing an old classic tune.  He was one in a million and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at St Bernard’s Catholic Church, 8279 Sunset Strip Sunrise, Florida on Thursday, February 20 at 10:30 am. Burial will immediately follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1500 S. State Road 7  North Lauderdale, Florida.  A reception will follow to celebrate his life.   Funeral arrangements by T. M.
