Wilise Langford

Wilise Langford, born January 25, 1921 in Uvalda, GA, passed away July 9, 2018 in Plantation. She moved to Boynton Beach, FL in 1925 at the age of four.  A resident of Fort Lauderdale, FL since 1938, she called herself a pioneer. Worked 36 years for “The School Board of Broward County” in the food and nutrition department.  State President, FSFN 1983-84.  Life member of FSFN, BSFN, and FREA.  Member of the following, Plantation United Methodist Church, Beta Signa Phi_Lauderdale Eta Phi Chapter, BPOE, Elkettes, Cooper City Golf, Broward Food Nutrition Retirees, Boynton Beach Historical Society, Broward County Retired Educators’ Association.   

Wilise is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bannon of Bridgeport, NY; grandchildren, Julie Cullen, David and Michael Langford; four great grandchildren, Ashley, Joseph, and Michael Cullen, and Garrett Langford; four great great grandchildren, Carter and Cash Cullen, and Hailey and Dylan Langford; and significant other, Frank Chiaverini.  Her husband, Alton (Chief) Langford, son, Glenn Langford, and significant other John (Jay) Bora, precede her in death. 

Visitation will be Thursday, 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be Friday, 10:00 AM, at Plantation United Methodist Church with interment following at Boynton Beach Municipal Cemetery. 

Following the interment, please join family and friends for a luncheon at Benvenuto Restaurant & Banquet Facility, 1730 N Federal Hwy, Boynton Beach, FL 33435
