Chris Rauscher passed away early on May 15, leaving the world a little less bright. She now joins some of her family and friends in the great beyond adding comfort to those she had to leave behind. She had a full and adventurous life from her humble beginnings outside of Rossburn, Manitoba to a thrilling adventure in Edmonton as a young adult to finding love in Hawaii to raising a family of a Naval officer to finally retiring in Colorado before moving to South Florida to be closer to her grandson. She is survived by her devoted husband Jerry, her two sons Steven and Jerel, her grandson Steven and her siblings Melvin, Adele, and Oriole.
To say she will be missed is an understatement. She was well loved and her positive spirit and strong will touched everyone she met. She never gave up and there were few problems she couldn’t tackle right away. She loved the penny slots and being at family gatherings.
Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10:30 - 12:30 PM. A Funeral service will be led at 11:30 AM by Chaplain Gary Gordon of Trust bridge Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society website.
Burial will take place at South Florida National Cemetery on May 24, 2023 at 2:00PM
